Description of the original vehicle:
Flair and Luxury was Hollywood in the 30ties. It also was the motivation of Daimler Benz in Germany. The 500 K Spezialroadster was the symbol and demonstrated livily a new trend at that time.
The construction of 500 K Spezialroadster from Hans Nibel defeated all here existing types. The frontwings are 3,27 m, giving this car a magnificant and unprecedendented streamline. The high basic price of 28.000 Reichsmark influenced the sales. Nevertheless between 1934 -1936, 354 Spezialroadster and Sportroadster were sold.
500 K Spezialroadster continued the traditions of the world wellknown S and SS Types, not originally, but more elegant, comfortable and efficient. The Firm Daimler -before combined with Benz in June 1926, undoutly as the first equipped their cars with compressors. The type 500 K Spezialroadster with compressor has different bodies, principally all of them with sportly character.
During the 2000 km automobile tour in Germany in 1934, two 500 K Spezialroadsters were the winners of a gold medal. Professor Rudolf Uhlenhaut of Daimler-Benz drove one of them. Princess Cherwachidze got a 500 K Spezialroadster in 1936, she was the winner with this car at the Concours d'Elegance in Cannes that year.
Well-known owners of this car at that time were, for example: King Chasi of Irak, the Tin-Tycoon Abreu of Argentinia. 1995 Naohiro Ihsikawa of Japan with his blue 500 K Spezialroadster won the "Best of Show" at the Automobile Classique et Louis Vuitton of the Concour d'Elegance in Paris.
