Model details:
  • The hand-made body of 0,6 mm thick sheet copper is a pioneering innovation in model making.
  • Each and every body part is pressed in moulds and the parts are then soldered at the connecting points.
  • That's the way the buckling resistant, highly stable but also light model with its unique technology sets new, till now never reached quality standards.
  • For this limited edition CMC decided intentionally to use no painting at all.
  • Only this way you are able to experience all the charm and ambience of the costly coppler material.
  • CMC just used a careful clear coat to seal the body. So the shiny brillance will last for ever.
  • The fully functional textile folding top represents a novelty in model building.
  • A cleverly devised metal hinge-system allows you to open and close the top just as you wish.
  • This possibility even raises the authenticity of that model and it can be presented in two different appearances.
  • Detailed 8-cylinder-in-line-engine with auxiliary units and cabeling as well as Horch lettering
  • Twin-wing engine hood with open work air inlets on the side wings
  • Motions sequence of opening and closing are true to the original
  • Doors fastened on originally replicated metal hinges, equipped with authentic rebound straps. The doors work with an wedge closing mechanism.
  • The hinged convertible top unfolds to close down on the upper metal frame of the windshield and stays in place by magnetic force

  • True to the original replicated bumpers with rubber rest
Description of the original vehicle: The name of Horch was a synonym for noblesse, highest quality and aristocratic looks in automobile manufacturing ot that time. The Type 853 might have been the most remarkable model that the auto manufacurer from Zwickau presented to the public in 1937. The four-seat sport convertible, with its 5-litre engine, was the vehicle of choice for industrialists, actors, and government leaders - in short, High Society.

Exquisite model!!

Crown jewel of my collection, no doubt!! This is a model with a great deal of details and shows the A league CMC as a producer is a part of. I am proud to own it and would like to address many thanks to cmc-modelcarshop.de for an excellent shipping service of this unique model!!

Incontournable !

CMC nous a habitué a des voitures de qualité et de finition proche du parfait. Ce modèle au 1/12, en cuivre vernis dont nous apprécions toutes les fonctionnalités, et a un tarif abordable, c'est vraiment un plaisir de pouvoir l'admirer dans sa vitrine
