Special characteristics: This model is an exact replica of the 1955 Monza-version Streamliner driven by Stirling Moss. In comparison with the standard-version Stremaliner, there are the following differences:
  • Air inlet in front of the wind screen
  • Abolition of the left and right air flap
  • Sidewise opening at the right front of the body
  • Central rear ventialtion with bars
  • Three-spoked steering wheel and green cockpit seat (personal preferency by Sir Stirling Moss)
  • Removable body (also a feature of M-057)
Description of the original vehicle: Prior to the final racing session, Mercedes-Benz had already demonstrated its strength, with Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, and Karl Kling placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Once the final race started, the Mercedes Team took over the lead immediately. However, the No.16 car of Stirling Moss was forced to make a pit stop on the 19th lap because of a broken windshield. With the leader more than a half lap ahead, Moss returned to the race and started a furious chase to make up for lost time. On lap 21, he set a sensational new lap record of 2:46.9, averaging 215.7 km/h. This record held through the entire race. Unfortunately there was no happy ending for him. On lap 29, a technical malfunction stopped him altogether so that he was unable to finish the race. Nonetheless, he still won a respectable 2nd place in the final standings of the 1955 F1 World Championship.

Encore un magnifique modèle CMC, tout absolument tout est représenté, moteur, habitacle et si vous enlevez les vis que maintiennent la carrosserie vous verrez un châssis avec des détails époustouflants. A posséder absolument.
