Description of the original vehicle: In April 1951 Daimler-Benz presented the public with the type 300 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. At that time this car was the largest and fastest of German series production and was driven by prominent figures such as Konrad Adenauer and Theodor Heuss.
In September 1957 an improved version with an updated body and fuel injection was launched. Its in-plant name was 300 d and in 1958 it was also released as convertible.
Nowadays Adenauer's 1955 type 300 is on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
