Description of the original vehicle: CMC celebrates its 20-year anniversary in 2015. To mark the occasion, CMC will release a special edition of the Maserati 250 F, featuring a historically realistic after-race appearance of the car. Limited to 1,000 units for worldwide distribution, this “Dirty Hero” model comes with a black acrylic base plate and an anniversary-commemoration name plaque.
With this replica of Juan Manuel Fangio’s Maserati 250 F, which raced with starting number 2 and won the French Grand Prix in 1957, CMC would like to bring to the fans and collectors the historical looks of this famous winning car at the finish line. Mud splashes, wear and tear on the drum brake and tires, road dust, traces of oil, water, and gas leakage, and a rear end blackened by exhaust fume are all visible evidence of the hardships that the winner had to go through.
Even the dents and rupture in its nose have become the collective memory of fans over the years. Inflicted by an involuntary ride off the road following a hard-fought battle for the best position, the damages are realistically presented in the replica.
A product of extraordinary craftmanship that made a unique after-race appearance possible, this replica will surely find admirers who love a realistic after-race model.
