The fight between Rudolf Caracciola and Manfred Von Brauchitsch was tight, but at the time
of Caracciola's last pit stop for water, Brauchitsch took the lead and kept it until the end.
The Mercedes Benz W125 took three first places. It was the last Monaco Grand Prix before
the war and resumed in 1948.
