Description of the original vehicle: Back in the 30's Auto Union used the Typ C not only for Grand Prix circuit races but also for the very popular hillclimb events. In 1936, Auto Union equipped the Type C for the first time with twin wheels on the live axle. Auto Union ensured a complete success with this invention. Because this way it was possible to get the huge torque of the 16-cylinder V-engine better on the street.

The most outstanding driver in hillclimb history is without a doubt Hans Stuck. His driving skills in this special events were nearly unbeatable. So his nickname "King of the Mountain" is justifiably in every way. But also Bernd Rosemeyer, the Auto Union ace of the Grand-Prix events, were able to achieve at first go in 1936 the German Hillclimb Championship.

Single- or double wheels: Both racing cars made history and should be included in every serious collection!
